It includes:
A nourishing, five course meal of ancestral Mexican dishes that support healing, mineral replenishment, womb recovery, and lactation
Herbal tea serving & blending, along with personalized tea sachets for the mother to have in the future
Candles and soft music for a cozy, peaceful ambiance
Postpartum care knowledge shared gently through the session, along with personal insights from my own journey as a mother of 5
Set-up and full clean-up
Hands on cooking option: Loved ones can join in preparing one warm soup with me, while learning how to continue to support the new mom
In Mexican culture, the first forty days after a woman has a baby are called “la cuarentena” or the quarantine. It’s a protected time for the mother to rest, bond with her child, breastfeed, and receive support from the women in her community.
The Postpartum Experience is made to wrap around new mothers and care for them — body and spirit — during this sacred time.
